Third edition of Lake Tye Challenge takes place on Saturday, MAY 30, on a 1.70 mile flat, paved loop trail around the beautiful Lake Tye in Monroe, WA. Runners, joggers and walkers of all levels are most welcome.
Full aid station is provided at start/finish of each lap with music, water, Hammer electrolyte fuel products and various energy rich "ultra running food". From 3 pm onwards, delicious burritos from El Paraiso will be served to all participants.
Chip timing with online tracking will be provided by chronokeep.com. Late start after official mass start is freely allowed with noticing race desk prior to start. All races end at 5:00 pm and only full laps will be counted in the results.
Grass lawn at the start/finish area can be used for personal drop bags / canopies (no spikes). Bag storage is also available at aid station. Direct beach access to cool down during/after race right at the venue.
Timeline of events on MAY30, 2026:
- 4:30 am: BIB pick-up opens, restrooms open
- 5:00 am: start of 12 hrs race
- 11:00 am: start of 6 hrs race
- 2:00 pm: start of 3 hrs race
- 5:00 pm: end of all races, awards ceremony
- 6:00 pm: post-race party at Dreadnough Brewing with live music
Each participant receives a wooden medal/coaster and free professional race photos. In addition, top three male/female finishers receive a special award.
The event is organized by Sky Valley Trail Runners Association, non-profit organization with all proceedings generated to be used on improving and maintaining trail network in Monroe-Sultan-Gold Bar-Index area.
